Burgundy Greenway by Bike
From Dijon to Macon, a gourmet greenway through the vineyards of Cote-d'Or and Maconnais, past wine cellars and stone villages.
Three days by bike on the Burgundy Greenway, through vineyards and heritage. The route links Dijon, Beaune and its Hospices, Chalon-sur-Saône and Tournus, on former railway lines converted into flat, safe cycle paths. It's gentle touring in the heart of the UNESCO-listed climats of Burgundy, among vine-covered slopes, wine villages and Romanesque abbeys. Ideal for families and occasional cyclists, with plenty of gourmet stops — remember to go easy on the tastings. Reckon on 30 to 50 km a day. Spring and autumn offer the finest colours and mild temperatures; book accommodation during the harvest season.
