About Tripsty
Tripsty is a free platform for discovering and planning tourism in France. Our mission is to make France's cultural, natural and gastronomic heritage accessible to all travelers.
Our mission
We believe every corner of France holds treasures to discover. Tripsty was designed to help travelers, whether international tourists or curious locals, explore the riches of each region. By centralizing tourism information on an intuitive interactive map, we simplify discovery and trip planning.
Who is behind Tripsty
Yoann Piconcely
Tripsty is published and maintained by Yoann Piconcely, a web developer passionate about French tourism. Originally from the Hautes-Alpes, he has been crisscrossing France for twenty years, from the Alpine massifs to the Brittany coast, drawing his expertise from this hands-on knowledge. All regional guides and travel itineraries (“collections”) are written or personally reviewed before publication; no automatically generated content is published without proofreading.
Official and reliable data
The tourist data (points of interest) displayed on Tripsty comes from DATAtourisme, the French national tourism information system, managed by the Ministry in charge of Tourism. This data is continuously collected and updated by tourism offices, local authorities and industry professionals across the regions of France. Events are aggregated from OpenAgenda, and route calculation relies on open mapping services (OpenStreetMap, Valhalla). Alongside this open data sits Tripsty's editorial core: regional guides and travel itineraries (“collections”) written specifically for the site, with original descriptions, annotated stops and practical advice.

Our editorial line
Tripsty clearly distinguishes aggregated data (points of interest, events) from original editorial content. The regional guides and detailed itineraries (“collections”) are hand-written, proof-read and updated regularly: each guide offers a genuine analysis of its region, and each collection an editorial introduction, annotated stops and practical information (duration, distance, transport, best time to go). Purely functional pages — map, planner, road trip — are excluded from search-engine indexes, as they are interactive rather than editorial. No content is paid for, sponsored or promoted without a clear disclosure.
Technologies
Tripsty is built with modern web technologies: Nuxt 3 (Vue.js), Leaflet for mapping, and open-source APIs for routing (OSRM). The application is optimized for mobile use and works on all modern browsers.
