Crozon Peninsula by Bike
A coastal loop on the Crozon peninsula, past sandstone cliffs, wild beaches, Vauban forts, and Pen-Hir headland.
Three days by bike on the Crozon peninsula, ending in three headlands that cut into the Iroise Sea. The route starts in the town of Crozon, reaches the Pointe de Pen-Hir and its seventy-metre cliffs facing the Tas de Pois, four islets lined up offshore, then Camaret-sur-Mer and its UNESCO-listed Vauban tower, with the boat graveyard and the Lagatjar alignments, the turquoise Ile Vierge beach reachable only on foot, and finally Morgat and its sea caves visited by kayak or launch. The roads are narrow and the climbs short but frequent. The westerly wind can be violent on the exposed headlands. The Ile Vierge path is sometimes closed to protect the dune, so check locally.
